What is the requirement, in plain English?

Each Member State must name one or more supervisory bodies to oversee compliance with its national rules made under Articles 7 to 16, and by 26 July 2028 must give the Commission their names, contacts and competences, and any later change.

What evidence does a regulator or an auditor ask for?

The note naming the supervisory authority for each Member State where the group operates, and the filing of its details.

The transposition deadline for Articles 1 to 3 of the amending directive is 19 March 2027 (Article 5). For Article 4 it is 26 July 2028, applied from 26 July 2029.
